Even a New Road Can Lead You Home

Well hey, friends! Been a long time. Thanks for bearing with me while I’ve laboriously made over (and over, and over) my website! I hope you like the result. Of course, I’m going to keep tinkering with it (I’m a compulsive tinkerer), but generally speaking, this should be the end of re-designs for awhile. (Yay!)

There are a few other changes on the horizon. The biggest is that I’m moving at the end of October. Yes, I know, I moved last October (wrote a little about it here). And no, moving every year is not going to become a thing with me. (At least, I hope not! Or not until I get my tiny house on wheels: then I’ll be moving all the time! *smiles wistfully*)

Last year’s move was only a distance of three miles. This year’s change of residence is over a hundred miles: away from Northern Virginia, where I have dwelt lo these many moons, to the Shenandoah Valley, one of the most beautiful places on Earth. My husband has been working out there for the past two years; I’ve stayed where I am while my sister finishes her Master’s Degree. Now that she’s almost done with school, has a full-time job and a place of her own, it’s time for both of us (all of us) to travel onward to the next phase of our lives.

Lucky for me, the next phase will include a lot of writing! Including – *rubs hands together with glee* – a quartet of books set in Angel River, Kate’s hometown from Homesong, and a series of romantic suspense novels in the spirit of Her Secret Bodyguard and Her Badman Hero. I also have plans for collaborating with a couple of very talented writers who work in the in the realms of paranormal fiction and literary nonfiction, respectively.

In short, as 2015 winds down, and 2016 gears up, the road ahead looks lively and new. It won’t be without its pit-stops and potholes (is it ever?), but the change of scenery should be well worth it. Thanks for coming along for the ride! Hope you’ll stay with me for at least a little while longer.

I’ll write more soon (promise!). In the meantime, here are a few pictures from the beautiful place where I will be living:
