Love stories about old houses and family secrets.

…there you are.

And here I am! I officially “arrived” in my new town last Saturday night, and have spent the last few days doing… I’m not sure what. Oh, well, on Monday I wrote a blog post for the Rockville 8… on Tuesday I did some cleaning, shopping and cooking… Wednesday my husband and I went out driving and looking at the pretty sights… and today I’ve gotten a little writing in. So there, that’s been my exciting week.

I have to say, it feels bloody weird not to have a job to get up and go to every morning. The idea of working from home, writing full time, is  enticing but scary. It will involve that thing that I so sorely lack: discipline. (The very word makes me shudder!) But hopefully I will rise to the challenge, and take advantage of this opportunity. I know it’s a blessing to have this chance to really make a “go” of my writing, and I’m going to try not to waste it. The internet here can be a little spotty, but that’s probably a blessing too, as it helps keeps me off of social media (and away from Netflix)!

It’s been raining here for the past few days, so I haven’t had much of a chance to take pictures. But I did get in a few good shots, so I’ll share them with you now. Surrounded by so much beauty, I’m going to have to up my photo-taking game!

Beautiful photos!! I have to admit I’m a little jealous. And I’m sure you’ll make a go of writing lots of wonderful books!!

Thanks so much! It is gorgeous here, and we would love to share the views with you any time! 🙂

  2. Lovely photos. I’m learning more about your new area than I ever knew. And I wonder why I didn’t see Edinburgh Gap on my way back up the Valley in early October. Guess you have to know to look for it.
Beautiful photos, Misha. And go walking before dawn so you will be more than happy to get back in, have a hot cuppa, and get down to work!
    Love you!

    1. By the way, that red barn? I WANT that farm! LOL!

Lol, yes I could see you there, for sure!! 🙂

Thanks! Actually the Gap is only really obvious from a couple of angles, so I could easily see how you might not identify it if you didn’t know to look.

That’s GREAT advice about getting up early to walk, then getting down to writing. I’m going to give that a try. I need to get back to walking every day, anyway. 🙂

      1. I can see you getting into the zone and cranking out more of your wonderful works! Go Misha Go!!!
