Friday the 22nd: The first flakes started falling around noon.
Friday 1/22: Ninety minutes later we had a nice frosting of snow.
Friday 1/22: This was around 4:00: thicker and deeper!
Friday, 1/22: Snowy woods behind our place.
Friday, 1/22: Snow in the lamplight at twilight. So pretty and peaceful!
Saturday 1/23, around 1 PM. Looking south from the safety of my front stoop. Looks like about 24″ with drifting and plow piles 4 feet and higher. And still coming down!
Saturday, 1/23: Looking north. So pretty!
Sunday, 1/24: Sunset. It’s been a lovely snowy weekend!
For most of us on the East Coast, this past weekend was all about ****snow****. In the Shenandoah Valley, we got a little over 24 inches, and that was plenty! I was personally impressed by how fast the road crews cleared the streets. My husband dug out one of our cars yesterday, so we were able to drive out and get a little emotional head space.
I posted these pictures on Instagram and my Facebook page, but thought you might like to see them here, as well. 🙂
Hope you and your loved ones were safe and warm this weekend!
