It’s become a tradition amongst my friends for us to each choose a word to define the coming year. I gave a lot of thought to what 2024’s word would be, and here’s what I came up with:
Bloom
Definitions:
A flower; blossom. I want to surround myself with flowers and plants and delightful things this year, and I want to share them with you, dear friends, so we can remind ourselves that the world is full of fresh and splendid life.
To be in a condition or time of greatest health, vigor, or beauty; flourish. My health is generally good, but my vigor could use some work! As for beauty, well… cough, cough… I’ll go for healthy and vigorous and let beauty come from those things. Or maybe I’ll surprise myself and flower in beauty, as well!
To produce or yield blossoms. That, obviously, will be my books. I several gorgeous books that are just budding, and will be in full blossom in the coming months.
