Hello, book buddies!
It’s been a little while, so I wanted to pop in with a quick update. In December, my husband and I bought a house and moved from Virginia to Ohio. We’ve been settling in, doing a (very) little bit of unpacking, and learning our new city.
Of course, I’ve been hard at work on the next book in the Angel River series, which will be out in May. The story is unfolding in ways that surprise and delight me, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
Aside from that, has been a little… let’s say boxy. We are still living in what feels like a shanty town built entirely of packing boxes. There’s a vague plan to work our way out of them, but at this point, I suspect they may be breeding when I’m not looking.
With the deep winter cold, I’ve barely been outside, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and ordered an exercise bike. Unfortunately, at the moment, it is also in a box. But any day now, I will open it, assemble it, and perhaps even ride it! (Or at least, that’s the dream.)
On the cozier side of things, I’ve just finished rereading 4:50 from Paddington by Agatha Christie (also known as What Mrs. McGillicuddy Saw!). It’s the one where a woman thinks she sees a murder on a passing train, and the only one who believes her is Miss Jane Marple, who promptly gets to sleuthing as only she can. This book was a favorite comfort read when I was a teenager, and revisiting it now has helped me feel a little more at home amid the chaos.
I’m including here a collage of pictures to give a little glimpse of the past few weeks. I’ll be back soon with more updates, and hopefully, with a fully assembled exercise bike. Stay warm, stay cozy, and happy reading!
Do you have any fun (or frenzied) moving stories that you’d like to share?

♡♡♡
