Hi MaeMargaret! That is a very good question. Quotes on the internet can difficult to correctly attribute. It’s frustrating, isn’t it? Until now I have always seen this one attributed to Basquiat. I will have to do further research to trace the actual originator of this quote. Could be it was neither of them. When I find out, I will post it here on this thread and as a new blog post. Thank you for your comment! You’ve really got me thinking.
